We Believe
Salvation
The Key
The Kristo
Unconditional Love

-
We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the
inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, and the complete
revelation of His will for the salvation of men.
-
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinite, perfect and
eternally, co-existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
-
We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been
conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross
as a perfect sacrifice for our sins according to the scriptures. He arose
bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where He now is our High Priest
and Advocate.
-
We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord
Jesus Christ, during this present age to convict men, regenerate the believing
sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living
and service.
-
We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and
is therefore lost as a race and only through personal regeneration by the Holy
Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ can salvation and a spiritual life be
obtained.
Salvation
In the Scriptures the Apostle Paul spoke
confidently of a message which alone could save a person who believes in it: “I
am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to
everyone who believes…” Romans 1:16.
He also defined precisely what the gospel is:
“Now I make known to you, brothers, the Gospel… by which also you are saved…that
Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, that He was buried
and… that He was raised on the third day according to the scriptures.”
That is good news! It must be believed in order
to be effective.
Plain, clear, simple.
Notice the parts:
-
Each of us have sin which deserves the
penalty of death.
-
Jesus Christ, as a substitute, took man’s
place and paid the penalty.
-
Jesus Christ was buried (really dead!) but He
was raised (is alive!).
The Key
To be saved from the penalty of our sin and be
forgiven and given eternal life, a person must individually believe (i.e. place
his or her trust in) what Jesus Christ did for them.
